When considering my artwork one should not disregard my thirty-two years of teaching high school art. I stressed technique in my teaching and I feel my artwork is primarily about technique. Capturing detail with subtle blending is my goal and it’s what gets me excited when it works. Oils are not only my preferred medium, they are essential to my technique. I paint wet on wet, with tonal changes created on the canvas.
